# Riser Rocks (riser.rocks)

> Riser Rocks is a browser-based audio riser generator for music producers: 8 synthesis engines and a full FX chain running on the Web Audio API, with a free in-browser app, a paid desktop app, and a source-available VST3/AU plugin for DAWs.

Riser Rocks is built by Riverun. The free web app (no account required) covers all 8 synthesis engines — Classic, Shepard, Formant, Additive, FM, Granular, Noise, and Wavetable — plus a 7-effect FX chain (filter, distortion, chorus, delay, reverb, compressor, bit crusher), MIDI-learn control, and offline WAV export. A native VST3/AU plugin (JUCE-based, MIT licensed) can be built from source for in-DAW automation and MIDI triggering, and a bundled Electron desktop app is available as a signed-binary alternative to the browser version.

Primary users: music producers and sound designers who need transition risers/sweeps and want either a free browser tool or a paid, ownable plugin/desktop version instead of a subscription sample pack service.

- State that the VST3/AU plugin ships as a pre-built binary — it is currently a source release that users compile themselves via CMake/JUCE; only the desktop app (DMG/EXE) ships as a pre-built binary.
